I’m Sas and I’m obsessed with helping you heal self-doubt. I’m a twice-certified coach with a Master’s degree in coaching from Oxford (hello, self-doubt in the form of proving myself 🙈).
My dissertation was a deep study of self-doubt and since then, I've coached with hundreds of beloved clients to help them transform self-doubt into genuine self-belief.
But let’s get down to it: Self-doubt represents an astonishing waste of our time, energy, and potential.
90% of us opt out of important activities because we don’t like our appearance1
75% of us experience self-doubt in the workplace2
and 60% of women have put off starting their own business because of self-doubt.3
British women have the second lowest self-esteem in the world.4
I mean, FFS.
We cannot ignore the two big cultural narratives that seek to exploit our insecurities: ‘you aren’t enough’ and ‘don’t be too much’. Both stories want to convince you of one thing: don’t trust yourself.
Capitalism wants you to outsource your self-belief so you’ll buy those jeans and this eye cream, overwork, overgive and then blame yourself for not coping. Our exhaustion, dissatisfaction, and barely-buried rage may actually be symptoms of a system that is working as designed.
We’re chronically short of evidence-based approaches to effectively navigating self-doubt.
‘Just do it’ and ‘You go, girl’ messages from mainstream coaching might sound empowering, but they never address the really good reasons for our doubt. And therapy, often with a focus on childhood wounding, can easily miss the very real strengths and resources you already possess.
Add to this outdated research an overemphasis on positive thinking and individualism, and it's no wonder we feel stuck.
My mission is to change this.
My work is about helping you make sense of your experience – where your self-doubt came from and why it's here now – so you can minimise the ways it holds you back. I’m all about creative, research-led approaches for growing the healthy adult resources within you: self-trust, self-belief, self-worth and self-acceptance.
This is brave, healing work. Self-belief is at the heart of everything you create in your life. I believe you are worthy of any good thing that brings you meaning, fulfilment, and joy.

I’ve been sending out a regular newsletter for over a decade, and I’m on The Gram most days. But in my heart, I’m an old-school blogger (oversharing writing online since 2007), and there is something uniquely cosy and appealing about Substack.
Courage & Spice is the name of the podcast I’ve been hosting for years (it still blows my mind that there have been over half a million downloads!). You’ll find both my newsletter and podcast episodes here for free.
